Please yes – I am waiting for this before upgrading to Catalina IOS operating system – this is the last plugin to be upgraded for this that I have on my system! Looks good Antz

    • Glenn

Same here. The final piece in the jigsaw before I can upgrade to Catalina. Seeing as Access can’t be bothered anymore, despite still selling new Virus’s.

      • Jani

Well, they sell the synth mainly, not the plug-in. Plug-in in their books is just additional tool. We are almost there with the update though!

  2. sscheidl

That´s great. I waited so long for this update. Thank you Jani!

    • Jani

Yeah we’ve been wanting to do the update for a long time as well! Most complex code to re-write, thats why it was the last one to do unfortunately.

  3. Frederic

Thank you Jani for this update !

  4. Bradlyn Oubre

This Guy Is The Greatest Access Take Notes!!!!!!!

  5. cyber7

Awesome! Can’t wait for this one. It is really looking great, Jani!

  6. TR0UBLE07

Awesome! Waiting for this update is my current excuse for procrastinating and not making music ;) Thanks for all the hard work!

  7. Sonicorchestra

Looking forward to the update.. Thank you for your efforts.

    Krzysztof

    • Jani

Yes we are looking forward as well! :)

  8. Robin-n

This looks fantastic Jani! Not too keen with the font choice, but that’s just super nitpicking. Thanks for streamlining the use of these old synths, I barely know how to use my Virus C efficiently without this. :)

    • Jani

Thanks, well, the font is what it is you know.. Simple to use a regular font than try to fit in something special :)

  9. Petri Rahja

Super! Can’t wait :) By the way any ETA estimates on when ?

    • Jani

Looking forward to bring it online in few weeks time. Just have to polish off things and ended up doing better functions than what I originally planned.

  10. Chris Turner

I’m chomping at the virtual bit, waiting for this! Especially hope that the librarian improvements will let me manage my presets in a better way.

    • Jani

Oh yes it will be a lot better! :)

  11. DJ Elkabas

Ah! Great news! I’m really looking forward to this one!

  12. JOSE MIGUEL

Beautiful update for a great editor, Thank you!

  13. scabtik

    Hey,

Super excited about this update, when can we expect this? :)

    • Jani

Great! well, we will publish the update once it’s ready to go. There are still things to fix so it might take week or two. Plus its super hot in here so I can not work very efficiently right now :(

      • scabtik

        Thanks for clarifying!

Best of luck and can’t wait :)

  14. Oleksiy Romanov

Bought it just to get a Catalina version :)
Hopefully you will fix remaining issues soon!

  15. David Hubbard

Will this work over USB Midi connection?

    • Jani

Yeah sure, but you will need audio cables to get the audio to your DAW / mixing console. USB Audio streaming is not supported.

EDIT: USB is ok to transmit MIDI data back and forth from Virus, but thats it :)

      • Paul Frac

Great, so I don’t need to buy a new separate MIDI interface then…..Is there any timing or performance difference between using the Virus TI USB MIDI as opposed to a MIDI interface with MIDI cables?

        • Jani

Hi, there should not be need for another MIDI interface with TI if the macOS can detect the TI Synth “interface” in the Audio/MIDI Setup screen.
Timing… Hard to tell, I always prefer to handle all data via MIDI dins so that I don’t have too many devices talking to the machine at the same time.

  16. Mika Hasanen

    Moro Jani,

The new scalable UI is really jees.
Will there be a change in the way the modified sound can be written to memory / your own library. Now it doesn’t seem to work very well.

    • Jani

Yes we will simplify the user patch request to librarian by a mile! Now when you do edits in patch, you have to go to patch librarian -> bank edit menu -> request patch -> temp from hardware to librarian slot and then save the bank after request. This is a bit tedious way of doing it, but as I said, there is a relief coming to it!

  17. Sergei Petrenko

    Thank You Jani !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! best

  18. Andy Smith

Hi, any ETA on this? Looking forward to trying the new version.
    Thanks

    • Jani

Expecting to roll out the BETA this week for existing customers

  19. Andy Smith

Hi Jani, thats great. Which versions of OSX will it be compatible with?
    Cheers

  20. Andy Smith

Version 2 Beta seems to be working well with OSX Mojave. No issues so far. Looks great too. Thanks
