Clavia Nord Lead 1/2/2X Editor & Librarian has been updated to version 2.0.5. We already published version 2.0.4, but we found out that it was still malfunctioning with Nord 1 models.
Here is the change log in short and you can always follow the change log in the NL2xR forums :
Version 2.0.5 / 2019-01-30
* [Fixed] Nord Lead 1 / Nord Rack 1 integration fixes.
Version 2.0.4 / 2019-01-30
* [New] Resize-able GUI. User can now make the GUI smaller or bigger. This is using scaling method at the moment, so the quality might not be the best, but it fits on most of the screens. * [New] Advanced MIDI Filters page added. User can now filter MIDI messages from DAW or Hardware ports. Button to Advanced MIDI Settings -> Performance Settings tab. * [New] Experimental MIDI clock generator added. This is not accurate by all means, we just want to see how it works out! If it is decent, we will keep it in. * [New] All Sounds off message is sent to dedicated slot or all slots if needed. * [Fixed] Resolved issue where popup menu for program selection crashed DAW if none was selected. * [Fixed] Solo switch now sends full arrangement data to Nord where other channels are set to OFF stage. * [Fixed] Some small changes to control display to avoid displaying values for parameters which do not have name in it. This caused crash in some cases. * [Fixed] Plugin validation should work without hick-ups. * [Fixed] Plugin memory usage reduced -> Faster load time. * [Fixed] Data request or write cancel works as expected. * [Fixed] Save As … and Overwrite works as expected. * [Fixed] Resolved issue where program names from librarian was shown in the program dropdown menu when plug-in was launched. * [Fixed] Resolved issue where Global MIDI channel was set to 16 when plug-in was launched. * [Fixed] Resolved issue where Performance program number was stuck in 0 when selecting performances from performance dropdown menu. * [Fixed] Resolved issue where bank selection was reset after clicking Overwrite. * [Fixed] Resolved issue where wrong layer was shown in the plug-in GUI when clicking performance settings tab on / off. * [Fixed] Bank names are now sorted Alphabetically up on folder scanning. Note that if bank name has capitals in it, they are threatened with higher priority. * [Fixed] Various other issues.
You can download the updated DEMO version from the NL2xR product page or if you already bought the plug-in, you can download the FULL version from Downloads page.

Clavia NL2xR AudioUnit & VST Editor just got a fragment better than you might expect. After the big update of VirusHC during this week, we made some ground breaking changes to our NL2xR.
Here is what we’ve done since version 2.0.0:
[New] About window added.
[New] First Run splash window. Quick instructions to user how to wire the hardware.
[New] Default banks are now in NL2 format, so the preset names won’t vanish when overwriting NL2 formatted bank.
[New] Windows installer now attempts to install in VSTPlugins/Mystery Islands Music.
[New] If plug-in is in performance browsing mode, regular patch request and storing functions are hidden from bank edit menu.
[New] If plug-in is in patch browsing mode, regular performance request and storing functions are hidden from bank edit menu.
[New] Added isDawRunning function in the core to check DAW status. This prevents automation from showing up on plug-in display from other than selected slot.
[New] Patches are now called Programs. All single programs will be stored to /User/Documents/Mystery Islands Music/Clavia NL2xR Editor/Programs/ folder.
[New] Performances are now stored to /User/Documents/Mystery Islands Music/Clavia NL2xR Editor/Performances/ folder.
[New] Program and Performance Request and Store commands moved to Bank Edit Menu and the old drop down selection menu is removed from the librarian view.
[Fixed] When Total Recall did not work or MIDI interface was not present, user had to reselect the MIDI I/O. This caused issue, where currently active data was requested from Nord and it overwrote the current Performance data from Plug-in.
[Fixed] Adjusted timeOut functions a bit further to prevent false timeOut messages.
[Fixed] AllSoundsOff now works as expected.
[Fixed] Data mode buttons now grey out when data is received to librarian.
[Fixed] Bank overwrite works as expected.
[Fixed] Part LEDs work as expected when notes or control change data is detected.
[Fixed] Global MIDI channel changed its value while browsing through patches from librarian.
[Fixed] Cancel Request button did not appear in the librarian view as it should while request process was on.
[Fixed] Unwanted parameters won’t display their values in controlDisplay.
[Fixed] Timeout and plug-in crashing the daw issues resolved while setting MIDI i/o or while requesting data from hardware.
[Fixed] Bank and program displays did not update while changing mode from Single to Performance.
[Other] Changed the way how renaming was applied to empty spaces in patch name.
[Other] Included NL2xR Editor UI.txt for future purposes.
To quickly summarise; move your current banks from Patches folder to Programs or Performances folder, depending which format they are. You can then remove the Patches folder as it is not used. And as usual, the update is available right now!
We are pleased to release the Clavia NL2xR update version 1.1.0 tonight. This release fixes several issues. Change log is updated accordingly but here it is for a read:
– [New] Plugin up/down patch buttons now follow the plugin UI display program number value. Ie: If slot A has program 0.10 chosen by up key, and you move to slot B where program number is 3.41, up / down buttons know the current program and will continue from there. – [Fixed] After performance / patch was received by hardware program change, some controls were grayed out. – [Fixed] Librarian did not save the renamed performances properly. – [Fixed] In some cases, when patches were copy / pasted or drag’n’dropped to the left list, these patches were ”initialized” after initializing a different slot from the bank. – [Fixed] When choosing MIDI in/out from the plugin UI, the plugin display said ”choose MIDI I/O first”. – [Fixed] In performance mode, some times the performances were not changed from the plugin UI display accordingly. – [Addon] Improved some instructions in the main manual regarding to Discard button found in Librarian.
And like always, the update is free to our existing customers. Head down to “My-Account” page, click “My Orders & Licenses” tab and “View order” to download the new version. For those who tried the demo earlier and had issues with it, head down to the product page and re-try it :-)
Finally, we have made a big progress / next step in our developments with Clavia NL2xR v1.0.5 update. Clavia NL2xR is the first plugin to have new librarian menus instead of lousy buttons / switches combinations to work through. Many other improvements has come along, like:
Import sysex or midi data directly into NL2xR patches folder to show them in the librarian.
Copy & Paste, Rename and Initialize librarian slots.
Subfolder are now displayed in their on submenu at main patch menu.
Original Clavia Nord Lead / Rack factory sound banks have names now.
Our Mystery Islands Northern Lights soundset has been improved.
And many more.
Check the Clavia NL2xR Manual Addendum for what has changed. List can be found on product page -> change log tab. Link to product page below.
While we are working with our other plugin developments, we wanted to let you know that we are working on this new plugin for Clavia Nord Lead 1,2 & 2X -series. Utilizing the same features as our other plugins, this is going to be a great one, since in Nord you have to remember all the slots where you saved your previous work – No naming patches / performances, but this is about to change.
With our new Clavia NL2xR Editor & Librarian Plugin, you will be able to send patches to each of the slots individually, meaning you can now fasten up your workflow with sequencers and DAWs like any other software synth. We personally own Nord Rack 2 to build the plugin and it’s functions, but if there is anyone with Nord Lead / Rack 1 and Nord Lead / Rack 2X, please step forward and give us a shout!
We are also in progress of investigating possibility to implement DiscoDSP’s Discovery patch data into our plugin, meaning, if you are in the road / plane and you work with Discovery to make the tracks and you want to polish them off in studio with NL2xR, you could import the Discovery data right into our plugin.
Another Clavia Editor will be announced soon along with Novation Editor, so stay tuned!Clavia NL2xR is available for Pre-order
